I’m in my element when I’m diving!
Here, I’m in my beloved Key Largo, where I received all my diver certifications.
Definition: elation, euphoria, joy, happiness, delight, jubilation, rapture, ecstasy, bliss. These all accurately describe the feeling I have when I’m underwater, with my camera, exploring Neptune’s depths. I’m mesmerized by the play of light on coral formations, colorful little (and big) faces I encounter along the way. I enjoy watching the interactions of fish in their open and free environment. Occasionally, their interactions extend to me and I feel so blessed to be in their world.

I love the quote from Baba Dioum, “In the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.”
It seems like our oceans are a big mystery to most people. Say ‘Ocean’, and people imagine a large blue mass of water and waves. With my photography, I’ve tried to showcase the fragile and unimaginable beauty contained under that superficial surface. I feel that if I could show places and faces of undersea beings, people could appreciate and relate to our ocean life. Sharing the magic, beauty, color of our fellow earth-mates became a passion for me.
And so, NeptunesGallery became a vehicle to display the amazing (and sometimes bizarre) sights in our ocean depths. I’ve had some variation of NeptunesGallery posted for 10 years or more. In that time, the images have reached thousands of people, some of whom I have heard from. I’ve just completed a website ‘facelift’, replacing older, less-responsive technology. I hope you enjoy taking a virtual dive with me, while exploring the galleries.

Various people and companies have contacted me in the past to buy (and I have sold) artwork seen in this site. Let me know if you’re interested in buying any prints, or if you have questions about Rights to Use. ALL IMAGES ARE COPYRIGHT PROTECTED!
If you ever see and recognize me on a dive, feel free to reach out to me. We could swap ‘fish stories’ together.
THANKS FOR VISITING!

I’m happy that so many people get to feast their eyes on these delicate jellies I spotted on the other side of the world!
